progress continues

I finished painting the bathroom and kitchen this weekend which meant I got to begin hanging shelves and 'decorating'. I didn't do a lot, but here's a little peak at what I did manage to do... The photo above is a detail from my bathroom. There were no shelves or closet so I put up a corner shelving unit that has 4 shelves on it for bathroom paraphenelia storage.

The photos below give you a glimpse at the progress of my kitchen. The 'before' shot comes first, followed by where I'm at with things so far. Now that the shelves are up, I'm going to start bringing over pots and pans and dishes to fill them up.

I actually had a lot of fun putting up these shelves because for the first time ever, I used a power drill. I have since developed a very enthusastic love for power drills. I can't wait to find more things to drill!

I have never thought to use those bathtub corner shelves, outside of the shower!! I love it! I'll definitely keep that one stored in the memory banks!! Thank you! Great job on your place! I look forward to seeing more!

Those shelves look sooooo damn sharp. Where did you get them?

I meant, where did you get the kitchen selves, not the bathroom thingy.

The kitchen really does look fresh and lovely but where are you going to put all your food and dishes. It doesn't look like there is room for a pantry of sorts?

Pots, dishes and some food will go on the shelves I put up above the stove and sink.

I also have a sideboard with shelves that I will be putting against the wall opposite the sink for extra storage.

I'm hoping any additional food will fit in the fridge - since I live alone and never fill a whole fridge with fresh food, I often store items that don't require refridgeration in there as well to save space in other areas.

did you manage to get the right kind of paper for your bathroom window?
and where is the rest of the kitchen... the fridge and dishes?

Yes, I got the right paper - although way too much of it ;)

The fridge is in the corner that didn't make it into these photos and I will be bringing in a sideboard table thing for extra storage. More photos coming this weekend!
